Hailing originally from Toronto, Paul began his musical education at the tender age of 7, teaching himself to play the piano & organ.
At the age of 14, he switched to guitar and falling in love with the instrument, he spent the next decade perfecting his technique.
At the age of 16, he began teaching guitar to others, which eventually led to Paul opening his own music studio, which is currently located in Markham, Ont. While teaching others, Paul also began his professional music career playing in a variety of settings, including The Royal York & King Edward Hotels, in Toronto.
In 1966, after attending an awe inspiring performance by Classical Guitarist, Andre Segovia, he immediately switched to the Classics and had the good fortune to study under the tutelage of Eli Kassner, (former teacher of Canadas Great Lady of Guitar, Liona Boyd.)
Another great highlight of Pauls career, occurred during a jazz concert held at St. Andrews United Church, Markham, Ont. when he had the opportunity to share the stage and play with one of his jazz guitar idols, Ed Bickert.
Not only does Paul have a prolific gift for guitar, he is also in the eyes of his students an awesome teacher, relating well to his young and older students alike.
He is also a consummate professional in all his business endeavours.
